You just can't compare KNIT with VIT vellore each college have its own pros and cons..
Pros of KNIT-
- Less crowding as compared to VIT. In KNIT you have only 60 seats as compared to VIT where you have approx. 1000 seats.
- No attendence problem
- Can become freelancer programmer as have very less burden on studies
- Far from the metro cities so very less chance of being distracted
- Fees is very less so you have no pressure for placement ,you can opt for higher studies.
Pros of VIT-
- Prime location i.e. Chennai ,Capital of Tamil Nadu
- Placement is okay. Most of the students get placed but package is not very good as their focus is on mass recruitment.
- Exposure to IT industry as they are nearby. Tremendous opportunities for internship and industrial training.
- Very good infrastructure and also have very good hostel and sports facilities.

VIT Vellore has far more superior quality than KNIT
I know people from both colleges and those from VIT have fared way too good in life. Good placement, great environment, experiences faculty and good placement record makes it a step better than KNIT.
