Basically when you appear for any entrance exam and cleared them then there is a process of choosing the best college and branch to study according to your Rank in the entrance exam which is called as Counselling.
VIT Bhopal Counselling-

Registration- To complete the registration process, candidates will have to reach the assigned counselling centre on the scheduled date and time. The counselling centre will be allotted on the basis of rank scored by the candidates in VITEEE 2020.

Document verification- Upon successful registration, candidates will have to get their documents verifies. Candidates should ensure that they carry all the relevant documents to the counselling venue.
Allotment of seats- After document verification, the authorities will allot the seats to the candidates on the basis of rank scored by them, availability of seats, and choice of preference.
Uploading documents - Candidates will also be required to upload all the relevant documents in a format specified by the admission authorities.
Payment of fee - In the next step of VITEEE counselling 2020, candidates will have to pay the admission fee of Rs. 50,000 to confirm the allotted seat. Payment will be made in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of Vellore Institute of Technology, payable at Vellore out of which Rs 11,800 will be the counselling fee which is non-refundable.
Hostel inquiry - To get accommodation in hostel, candidates will have to submit a separate Demand Draft of Rs. 21000 (of which,1200/- hostel admission processing fee is non-refundable.) drawn in favour of 'Vellore Institute of Technology', payable at Vellore.
