Dear,

The full form of CSAB is Central Seat Allocation Board. It is constituted by the Government of India to coordinate admissions to UG degree programmes in engineering, technology and architecture in NITs, IIESTs, IIITs and GFTIs. CSAB special rounds counselling is conducted for admissions to the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning Programmes on supernumerary seats in NITs for Union Territories, and in some AICTE approved Institutes for North East and Union Territories (NEUT) through this centralised seat allocation procedure.

After the online registration, candidates will be required to fill their choices of engineering branches and institutes out of NIT/IIIT/GFTI as per the vacant seats available. The vacant seat data after JoSAA Round-6 was displayed on the CSAB portal on November 16, 2021. The choices filled by candidates during JoSAA counselling are not acceptable, and candidates will have to fill fresh choices for CSAB 2021 special rounds counselling.

Hope this helps!
