Dear Rohan,
Thakur Junior College was established in 1992, by the founding members, with the notion of providing an avenue of learning within easy reach to the growing young population of Kandivali and its vicinity. It was a natural augmentation by the Thakur Educational Trust, for the S.S.C. Pass-out students of the various schools as well as Thakur Vidya Mandir. Thakur College had a humble beginning with only 57 students in FYJC first batch of Commerce stream. Its success led to the commencement of the Junior Science stream and the Degree College in 1997 followed by the Post Graduate section in 2002.
As per the guidelines, the following are the eligibility criteria for seeking admission into B.A in Film Making and New Media Production at Thakur College.
Candidates for being eligible for admission to the three-year integrated course leading to the Degree of BA (Film, Television & New Media Production), shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an Examinations of any another University or Body recognized as equivalent thereof by the Senate of the University of Mumbai.
A student from Thakur Junior College who have acquired eligibility will be given preference and will be admitted first.
Hope this helps.
