The cutoff varies year to year with number of candidates appearing in the entrance examination and toughness level of the exam.
I took the exam in 2016 and as per the past trends, a general rank within 1300 can get you admission in this University. For getting the desired branch for a General Candidate having no reservation, you have to be within 500, especially for Mechanical and CSE branches.
If the paper is easy, the cutoff can be as high as 400/600. But in previous years, 270-300 marks out of 600 can get you the desired branch.
For a General candidate, the eligibility criteria is at least 55% marks in 10+2 and a minimum average of 60% in PCM without grace.
