Hello Kalani , thanks for asking this question on this platform.when we talk about software engineers that means a engineer who has knowledge of software system .now generally there are two types of software engineers.one come from computer science department and second comes from information technology department they both are from software background.but computer science is core for being a software engineer.thanks
