As per your query , I would glad to inform you that general rank is the rank which is calculated among the unreserved category students whereas ews rank is the rank which is calculated among the students who registered themselves as ews students . 10percent of the seats are reserved for ews category whereas 50 percent seats ususally left for general category students . So ews category students first competitie with ews category students and then with general so they priority
