What is difference between b. Sc, b. Com and b.a economic honours???
Hello
I am here to help you with your query.
•B.Sc means Bachelor of Science ,an undergraduate program which has great scope in future and if you are interested to go to IIT or IISc this is good path.
•B.com means Bachelor or commerce,an undergraduate program too which gives way into the field of accounts and can do MBA too after this and get into IIM through entrance level exam.
• ba means Bachelor of arts , after this you can get into PhD different aspects areas too.
Good luck dear
sorry to say but my answer is lengthy In order to make every thing clear i am going to explain you in a comparision manner.
Strictly speaking on course-to-course comparision, BA Economics fares better than BCom. A student with BA Economics stands higher chance to get hired for the same job than a BCom (with all other aspects being equal).
The reason being, BA Economics is more focussed and specialised course unlike BCom which is a general accounting course. Also, the perception of BA Economics is better than BCom, as the overall scope of Economics when it comes to higher studies and specialisation is pretty vast compared to Commerce.
However your grades, your college etc., matters most. Hence a BA Economics from a lower tier college with average grades might struggle, than a student with good grades from a reputed commerce college.
Hence, you should choose which suits you better, and make sure you get in to a top college and score consistently good grades.
Check out and compare the syllabus of both the courses. Economics need more logical and spatial knowledge, while being good at mathematics could be an advantage in this subject. For Commerce, you need to have an interest in trade and accounting stuff, and though you need not be a master in math, atleast an above average level of math could serve you better, as after all accounting is all about numbers.
What is BSc?
A Bachelor’s degree or BSc is generally considered as an ordinary pass degree. A regular BSc degree takes three to four years for the candidate to complete. This is referring to a general degree. For a special degree, it can take four to five years to complete. Moreover, the submission of dissertation is not necessary in the case of BSc degree. This happens when the BSc is a general degree and not a special degree. If it is a special degree, then one has to hand over a dissertation.

BSc Hons degree.
There is a general opinion that a student can easily complete a BSc degree than a BSc Hons degree. This is due to the heavy syllabus in the latter and that the student has to undergo training at a higher level to complete BSc Hons degree.
What is the difference between BSc and BSc Hons?
The true difference between BSc and BSc Hons lies in the university or the country that offers the degree. This is said because you will see that some countries such as England offer the title BSc Hons even for a general science degree. Some countries do not.
