NCERT - National council of education, research & training

  1. An autonomous organization of India established on 1 sept 1961.
  2. It was established through the merging of seven existing national government institutions.
  3. Its main objective was the design and support of a common national education system.
  4. Textbooks published by NCERT are prescribed by CBSE  class I- XII

SCERT - state council of education, research & training

  1. Autonomous organization of govt of India talented on 5th Jan 1979.
  2. It was formed through the enhancement of the State Institute of Education.
  3. Its main agenda is to improve the standard of education in the state.
  4. It prescribes curricula & textbooks for school and teacher training institute. It also organizes and supervise working of teacher training college, secondary training college and elementary training college.
