Computer science and software engineering both are distinct courses. They share some common thing that both should learn programming language.

Computer science students focuses on broad aspects of applied mathematics,algorithms, networking, database programming, web programming, application development... So you can see computer science is broad.

Software engineering focuses on how to actually design, develop and test a real time software.

Computer science engineering also has a subject called software engineering but this subject just gives you theoretical knowledge of what software engineers does in practical.

so CSE jobs includes web developer, system administration, technical support, programmer, software developer

SE jobs includes business development of software

There is nothing such difference in cse and se.

At the time of placement , in view of companies ,all the streams like cse , ece, se all same.

in view of syllabus you get 85-90% syllabus same of cse and se.
