What is difference between Govt., municipal, semigovt, deemed & if any other universities. DIff. interms of runby/fees Quality of education.
Dear student,
There are three types of universities that are
- Government universities
- Semi Government universities
- Private universities
- Deemed universities
- Government universities- these ununiversities are managed by the government either the state government or the central government, if the university is managed by the state government the finance will be managed by state and the chancellor will be the governor of the state and if the university is managed by the central government then the finance is managed by central board and chancellor will be the president. The fee of government colleges/universities is comparatively less than that of other institutions as all the regulations is aided by government.
- Semi Government universities- these are the universities that are managed by a private organization but it is affiliated to government university and the syllabus and curricular are decided by the university which it is affiliated to, the fee is lies in the affordable range and you have to pay to the college and some of its part goes to the university.
- Private universities- these universities are totally managed and financed by private organization and they have a recognition form the established universities and follow the syllabus and curriculum of that pattern, since there are no government funding the fee are comparatively high.
- Deemed universities- these are those universities which are showing very good performance in the field of education and due to their good performance the government give these universities the title of deemed university and they have all the powers of the government university but the financial aid and funding are not form the government the management and finance are form private organization, the fees are in affordable range.
