In general, the relationship between information technology and computer science is quite close and interdependent.
Information systems (IS) is concerned with the information that computer systems can provide to a company, non-profit or governmental organization in defining and achieving its goals whereas Information technology (IT) is a label that has two meanings. In common usage, the terminformation technology is often used to refer to all of computing.
