what is difference between upcet and upcetet entrance exam??????

* Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET):

• The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.
• Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow (formerly UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in 2000. The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of U.P. in affiliating B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFA, B.Des., BFAD, B.Voc., MBA, MCA, M.Tech., M.Pharm, M.Arch and Ph.D. programmes in 756 colleges/institutions imparting graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level training in all government and private institutions located all over U.P. in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology as well as M.B.A. and M.C.A. programmes.
• Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology,(MMMUT), Gorakhpur was established in year 2013 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the form of a non-affiliating, teaching and research University after reconstituting the Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, set up in 1962.  In addition to UG in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, University also offers MCA, BBA, B.Pharm, MBA, M. Tech, M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses in various specializations.
• Govt. of UP has entrusted the task of  conducting the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test UPCET)– 2021 to National Testing Agency (NTA).  UPCET-2021 covers admission to various courses offered by AKTU, MMMUT and HBTU as well as  other specified Universities in Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2021-22.
• NTA will be conducting UPCET-2021 in the computer based test mode on 18.05.2021 .

* Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET):

• UPCATET is an entrance exam conducted to provide admission to Uttar Pradesh State domicile candidates in different UG and PG programmes offered at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur; Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut; Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faridabad; Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda. The UPCATET is a state level entrance exam which is conducted once a year. The UPCATET is of three hours duration and the test mode is offline.
• UPCATET 2021 eligibility criteria for different BSc and BFSc courses is as given below:
  • BSc (Honours) Agriculture/ BSc (Honours) Horticulture/ BSc (Honours) Forestry : Candidates should have cleared Class XII with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject to meet UPCATET eligibility criteria.
  • Bachelor in Fisheries Science (BFSc) : Candidates should have cleared Class XII with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject to meet UPCATET 2021 eligibility criteria.
  • BSc (Honours) Home Science : Candidates should have cleared Class XII in Arts stream with Home Science/ PCB/ PCM/ PCMB/ Agricultural Science subject to be eligible for UPCATET exam. Only female candidates can opt for this course, informs the official website.

• Age limit : As on December 31, 2021, candidates should be more than 16 years and less than 22 years in age. However, for BVSc&H course, candidates should be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years in age as on December 31, 2021. It may be noted that candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category have an age relaxation of five years for any course they apply.

UPCET means Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination which is a state level entrance examination to get into the Engineering. On the other hand, UPCATET means conducted on a rotational basis by four agricultural universities in Uttar Pradesh, it is a state level entrance exam which is conducted on a rotational basis by four agricultural universities in Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted once per exam. The UPCATET is of three hours duration.
