In private medical colleges, the MBBS program fees is typically determined by individual institutions. However, in order to ensure that private institutions do not overcharge students, states such as Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh have imposed a limit on how high the annual fee should be for each of the groups. The management and the NRI quota are the key categories of seats in private colleges. In addition, almost all private colleges typically has reserved seats for the government quota, under which the MBBS program fees remain less than that of the other two categories. Management Quota-The MBBS course fee for seats in the Management Quota ranged from INR 4,00,000/-in the Kerala Medical Colleges to INR 17,95,000/-in the Jaipur, Rajasthan National Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. NRI Quota-The individual institutions also determine the MBBS course fee for the NRI quota at the various private medical colleges.
