MBA in technology management is a two year programme which aims to teach students the knowledge of multiple technologies and teaches how to mange and maintain it. Think of a car company which invents a new technology , so the development of a technology is dependent upon the researchers but how to manage it and maintain and solve customer problems is a technology manager does . It also involves the sales and pricing of that particular technology  .You will be taught of using professional tools and systems to address the areas . You will be learning some subjects of Basic management subjects plus technology related subjects like Technology forecasting and assessment, technology transfer management, business research  , supply chain management, business research methods  , accounting  etc :

Mba in information technology is also a two year programme but it is related to only the management in the information technology field.  You will be learning about how to manage and maintain a software and how to manage and maintain a system like a database, you will be responsible for the organizational goals . You will get the job of the information systems manger , information technology specialist, project manager etc . You will also learn about how to do marketing for your IT product , how much  finance is needed , what will be the sale strategy  and all of that .

As per career growth  MBA in information technology is definitely in demand right now  .
