In CSE you have to study hardware as well as software. But you have to study only software in IT.

Since IT is a part of CSE so syllabus for CSE is more than IT. Both the branch IT and CSE are good but now a days CSE is more domanating.

Because the CSE students have knowldge of hardware as well.

Also there is more jobs for CSE than IT but it doen not mean that IT is not good.
