what is discipline specificified elective for suppose I am pursuing geo honours and my generic elective is maths in 1 and 2 years but in 3 year there is no generic instead dse, so can it be maths? at the end does they mentioned the student has also studied maths

Hello

Elective courses that are offered by the main discipline of study (like for honours subject such as botany honours the courses will be restricted to biology itself and not incluse maths or any other unrelated subject except in the elective courses from other departmentrs) is called as Discipline Specific Elective.

The Institute may offer some discipline related Elective courses of interdisciplinary nature too(to be offered by the subject of study).
