There are 2 courses of PharmD:
- PharmD 6 year - Programme.
- PharmD Post-Baccalaurate 3 year - Programme.
Eligibility Criteria for 6 year Programme:
- Passed 12th Board Exams in PCB.
- Minimum average percentage in 12th should be 55%.
- Diploma candidates can also apply.
Admission Process:
- Admission to both the Programmes is done by Entrance Exams.
- Entrance Exams can be conducted by Central, State or by Universities.
- Based on the Merit List admission takes place.

Pharma D stands for Doctor of Pharmacy and is a Professional pharmaceutical course for 6 years. It is a doctoral programme. It has 5 years of Academics and 1 year internship. This cannot be mistaken for M.Pharmacy. You can add Dr. After your internship. Once you complete the course, you can provide clinical pharmacy services like participating in ward rounds and meetings in the hospitals. You can prepare drug related protocols and patient information leaflets. You can also provide poison information to physicians.
