what is DRDO and how can one get into DRDO as a researcher

DRDO Stands for Defence Research and Development Organisation. It is an agency under the government of India which does reasearch and development for military.DRDO has 52 laboratories, which are engaged in developing defence technologies covering various fields, like aeronautics, armaments, electronics, land combat engineering, life sciences, materials, missiles, and naval systems, DRDO is India's largest and most diverse research organisation.

For joining DRDO you should have educational qualifications i.e. 65% in engineering and sometimes in masters master also. Also one needs to clear the SET exams which DRDO conducts for recruiting, but from this year they are recruiting based on GATE marks.

• Student must possess the requisite Essential Qualification (EQ) from IITs/NITs with minimum aggregate 80% marks.
• Student should be having the requisite Essential Qualification (EQ) along with NET Qualification.
