The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, also known as MGR Medical University is a government medical University located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is the second largest Health Sciences University in India. The University has more than 40 affiliated government colleges, out of which, 33 colleges are for Medical field.
The University offers UG, PG, doctorate, diploma and certificate courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Allied Health Science, Pharmacy and many more. These courses are offered under seven different departments of Experimental Medicine, Epidemiology, Medical Genetics, Transfusion Medicine and more.
Eligibility criteria:
MBBS is offered with a course duration of five and a half years, including one year of rotating internship. The course duration of BDS programme is four years with a total of eight semesters. MBBS and BDS admissions are done on merit basis. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks secured in HSC. Eligibility criteria for the same is mentioned below:
