The students who want to write CAT should have completed graduation with the minimum percentage of marks and the minimum percentage of marks required to be eligible for CAT is at least 50% or equivalent CGPA for general, EWS and NC-OBC categories. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories) must have an aggregate of 45% or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in final year are also eligible to give CAT provided they have minimum percentage of marks. Candidates who have completed a professional degree (CS/CA/ICWA) with required percentage are also eligible. Please click the below link to know more.

The eligibility criteria for applying for CAT is:
- The candidate should have completed bachelor's degree. The students in final year are also permitted but they have to produce their passing certificate later on.
- For general and NC-OBC category candidates, the minimum percentage required in the bachelor’s degree is 50%.
- Candidates from the reserved categories must attain a minimum aggregate percentage of 45% in the graduation.

In order to appear for CAT, candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with 50% aggregate
in case you belong to general category, for SC/ST it's 45%, candidates in their final year too are eligible to apply for CAT
