Greetings aspirant!

Focusing on just the word trainee it means an individual who is trained under some supervisor and he/she gets to learn the required skills.

Now an engineer trainee means an engineer graduate who is appointed by companies/corporate to work under them and gain practical experience. He/ she is supposed to do all the assigned work. It's basically is a term used for newcomers.
