The CRL is generally referred as rank according to general category whereas General-EWS is a type of category rank in JEE Examination. EWS is a new category that is introduced in many examinations from this year only.

Hello Rishab Jain,

Ews-Economically Weaker Section in India is a subcategory of people belonging to the General Category having an annual family income less than ₹8 lakhs and who do not belong to any reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC.
