what is Fortran...?Is it for Aerospace engineering...?
Fortran is a programming language used by engineers for projects such as design of bridges and aeroplane structures, it is used for factory automation control, for storm drainage design, analysis of scientific data.
Fortran is a general-purpose Mathematical programming language that is especially suited to numeric computation and scientific computing.
Fortran is rarely used today in industry it's behind 29 Programming languages . However, Fortran is still a dominant language for the large scale simulation of physical systems, ie. for things like the astrophysical modeling of stars and galaxies, hydrodynamics codes , large scale molecular dynamics, electronic structure calculation codes , large scale climate models, etc.
