Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination held every year for B.E/B.Tech graduates or who are about the graduate. This exam is conducted by one of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) which consists of Mathematics and Core Questions from the branch you applied for.

Through GATE you can:

• Apply for further studies (M.Tech or Integrated M.Tech+PhD) in various disciplines in universities in India, Singapore and Germany, IITs', IISc and other technical institutes
• Through this you can apply for Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), these are government companies and organisation that work in a core field, like Electrical, Production, Mining etc, like ONGC, IOCl

Note; GATE score is valid for 3 years, so you can use your score for admission for 3 consecutive years
