Hello aspirant, according to JEE mains eligibility criteria seats are reserved for SC, ST, Pwd, OBCL-NCL, EWS and women candidates set by the Government of India.
- 5% of the seats are reserved for women candidates in all NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
- Female candidate can apply under the All India Level or Women Quota System. Some colleges provide relaxation in cutoff marks for female candidates for example if the general cutoff is 97 percentile then for female it is around 92 percentile.
- In NITs 50% seat are reserved under home state quota and the rest 50% for other state quota. Vacant home state seats at the end of counselling process are converted to all India quota to fill up the seats. In IIITs there is no provision of home state quota and all seats are open.
