Hello Himanshu,
The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without this atmosphere. Earth receives energy from the Sun in the form of ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared radiation. About 26% of the incoming solar energy is reflected to space by the atmosphere and clouds, and 19% is absorbed by the atmosphere and clouds. Most of the remaining energy is absorbed at the surface of Earth .This is known as green house effect.
Hope this helps you....
Hello
Green house effect is the process in which the high energy radiation from the sun reach the planet earth through the atmosphere and hits the earth's surface. The radiation is partially absorbed in the earth and the rest is radiated back but now it has lower energy. Hence only a part of the radiation escapes the earth and the rest is entrapped within the early as it can not penetrate the atmosphere. These entrapped radiation in term heats up the atmosphere and helps to maintain the atmospheric temperature on earth.
