IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services, this application form of UPSC IAS is released every year. UPSC stands (Union Public Service Commission) and is also know was UPSC Civil Services Exam.

UPSC conducts the IAS exam every year. The exam is conducted is 3 stages -  Prelims, Mains and Interview.

UPSC IAS is one of the toughest exams but after successfully qualifying the exam, candidates are entitled to a handsome salary, various monetary benefits & perks from the government and they are also positioned at the highest ranks in government organisations.

IAS stands for India administrative service which is equal or higher to IPS.
.
Mostly it is considered that IAS has equal level as IPS and some of them believe IAS is higher then IPS.
To be honest IAS has more importance and has a greater level then IPS.
.
We find only one IAS officer in a area where IPS officers are posted accordingly considering the area's conditions and maintenance.
.
IAS officer is responsible for maintaining law and order, general and revenue administration in the particular which will be handovered.
.
If you are dreaming about wearing police uniform and getting worked done then you should go for IPS .
Not that IAS are not uniformed but the daily and regular costume of the IAS is formal dress.

Eligibility for becoming an IAS officer,

• Person must hold a degree
• One who completed examination and waiting for results are even allowed
• Age should be 21
• upper age should be 32. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. 3 years for OBC. 3 years for defence service personal
• Maximum 6 attempts for general category. scheduled castes and tribes have no attempt limitations but age limit is 37 . OBC has  9 attempts. PHC 9 attempts and caste may vary
