Hello,

I think in your query you mean to say about Tax Identification Number Type.

Basically it is an identifying number assigned to individuals and businesses. TINS are either issued by the social security administration (SSR) or the IRS. Social security numbers are the most common type of taxpayer identification number.

I would like to inform you that "identification numbers" is a numeral or chain of numbers used for identification purpose.There are various  types of identification numbers such as Nationality identification numbers and for taxpayer it is divided into five types named as Social security number(SSN), Employer identification number(EIN), Individual Taxpayer identification number(ITIN), Taxpayer identification number for  pending US adoptions(ATIN), Preparer Taxpayer identification number(PTIN).
