What is IIT ?
IIT is called Indian institute of technology where you can study the technical field like engineering , Msc and many more. It is of the prestigious college for engineering .IIT are top engineering college in India . For getting admission in IIT you have to at least 75% marks in science stream .after that you have to give entrance examination called Jee main paper 1 after clearing that you have to give Jee main paper 2 after both paper you should have below 12k rank to get IIT
What is IIM?
IIM is called Indian institute of Management where you can study business related field like MBA, Executive MBA and many more .It is prestigious college for management studies .IIM are top management college in India to get admission in you have to have graduation degree For getting iim is not an easy job . Because you get IIM you should you be top score from 10th to graduation with extra co - curricular activities.after that you have to give entrance examination called CAT you have score above 99 percentile to get call from iim and after that they take your interview if you pass then your are eilgible

IIM stands for Indian Institute of Management is a group of 20 best management colleges . It primarily offers postgraduate, Doctoral and executive Education programmes.
There is UG program that is 5 year program which is BBA + MBA and admission is done through IPMAT and there is 2 years MBA program for which scores of CAT exam is accepted.
IIM Offers 2 year post graduate program in management (PGP) , offering post Graduate Diploma in management (PGDM) , these courses are equivalent of regular MBA programmes.
Also, some IIMs provide Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), a doctoral programme, fellowship is considered equivalent to PhD globally. Some IIMs also offer 1 year PGDM for graduates with more work experience.
Different programmes of IIM follow different Admission process. Admissions for resident of India is based on CAT . International/overseas applicants have option to apply for GMAT scores in lieu of CAT score.
Now, IIM and IIT both are centers of excellence in Field of Higher education.
