Both your ranks are important but if you're a SC candidate student then it is more beneficial for you.
For HBTI Kanpur or any college, the chances to get admission is easier with your category rank because the cut-off is lower for SC category students as compared to the general category student.
Therefore, you can get admission in even if you have a high CRL, so if you have the SC category then you should definitely use it.
