Instrumentation engineering is the branch of engineering that specialises on the principle and operation of measuring instruments that are used in fields of design, configuration of automated systems in electrical, pneumatic domains, etc.

Scope of Instrumentation Engineering
It has a good scope in the future. Almost all process and manufacturing industry such as steel, oil, petrochemical, power and defence production will have a separate instrumentation department, which is manned and managed by instrumentation engineers. The growth in the avionics, aeronautical and space science sectors has also increased the scope for instrumentation engineers. Instrumentation engineers can also fit in both software and hardware sectors. An Instrumentation Engineer earns an average salary of Rs 367,978 per year.
