In simple words irrigation is providing water to the plants. But, in scientific terms, it is the process to provide water to plants in a controlled manner at regular intervals to grow them as desired. It helps bind soil,keep soil moist, is good to grow crops and has many other benefits.
Drip system and sprinkle are the ways to conserve water in irrigation.
