The institute is famous for its Research intensive and has numerous notable alumni in pharmaceutical industry in both India and Abroad.In the NIRF Overall Rankings for 2020, the university was placed 37th. In the NIRF Ranking for 2021, Jamia Hamdard University was ranked 64th overall. Additionally, it placed first and 22nd in the 2020 NIRF Medical Rankings and NIRF Pharmacy Rankings, respectively. In the university category, it was placed 41 in the NIRF rating of 2021, as opposed to 21 in the same category in the NIRF ranking of 2020.
