It is not valid for NITs and all IIITs.
The exam is held in Computer based mode condcted by JAB.
Students who qualify amongst top2.24 lakh students of Jee. Main, will be eligible for Jee Advanced.
Jee advance score is valid for one year.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is top most leading entrance exam for engineering. It has two phases which are –
JEE Mains
JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced is the second phase of JEE for admission in Bachelors of Engineering courses in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. It is held by one of the IITs in the month of May every year.
Candidates qualifying JEE Mains are considered eligible to appear for JEE Advanced Exam.
Candidates seeking admissions in bachelors programmes, integrated masters programmes as well as dual degree programmes at the 19 IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM) need to clear JEE Advanced.
It is to be conducted on 20th May 2018 this year.
