Jee Advanced is a consequential exam if a candidate clears JEE Mains. This year it is happening on May 17. This exam is used to test students who wish to do Bachelors in Engineering or Technology. JEE advance is a highly competitive national level  entrance exam to get into IITs. It is conducted by IITs.

To be eligible for JEE Advance examination one needs to clear jee mains examination first.

Hello srikanth.  Jee advanced is the entrance exam to get into IIT's(Indian institute of technologies). Basically engineering colleges on top.
So the first level would be JEE mains. That exam has a particular cut off for different categories like oc, bc etc. So if cut off is crossed. Then they would be eligible to write JEE advanced. Based on the percentile scored in this, one can get into different IIT's based on their cut off.
