The Joint Seat Allocation Authority ( JoSAA ) is responsible for the counselling of JoSAA which provides admissions into the participating IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Allocation of seats is done by the admission committee on the basis of merit of the candidate. All of the candidates who have qualified either JEE Main or JEE Advanced examination had to register themselves online for the counselling of JoSAA.
Seats are allotted in online mode as per the merit and academic programme selected by the candidate in order of preference. Following the allotment, the candidates have to visit the reporting centres for document verification.
