What is LLB degree How many years the course take?and 12th standard students eligible for this course

LLB or Bachelor of Law is an undergraduate course offered by many Indian Universities.  The course duration is 3 years for which the minimum eligibility criterion is graduation but for the under graduate students the course duration is also for 3 year course but if they choose an integrated course then it's take 5 years.

LLB is a Bachelor of Law degree.This is a three-year law course is is divided into six semesters. Candidates are awarded an LLB degree only when they complete all the semesters of this three-year course.You will not be eligible to do this course after your 12th standard.You have to become graduates i.e. you should have passed a bachelor degree of three-years or four-years duration in any subject/ discipline in order to pursue an LLB course.You can try to opt BBA-LLB which is a 5 year integrated course and you can opt for it right after you 12th standard

Legum Baccalaureus or LLB is a Bachelor of Law degree. LLB is a programme of 3 years. LLB is a foundational course of law that is designed to make students aware of the deep intricacies of law and legal procedures followed in the profession.

eligibility as mentioned by BCI:

• Candidates need to be graduates i.e. they should have passed a bachelor degree of three-years or four-years duration in any subject/ discipline in order to pursue an LLB course.
• Apart from this, some colleges also fix a minimum percentage requirement that candidates need to fulfil in order to secure admission in LLB course offered by them. The (minimum) percentage requirement for General category candidates ranges from 45% to 55% and that for SC/ST category candidates it ranges between 35% to 45%..

So since LLB needs you to have a degree already, the degree would take 3-4 years + 3 years of LLB which will be 6-7 years of just undergraduation. You also have an option of taking integrated undergraduate programmes like B.sc+LLB, BBA+LLB, B.com+LLB or bA+LLB which will take about 5-6 years.
