The flux density is the number of magnetic lines of flux that pass through a certain point on a surface. The SI unit is T (tesla), which is weber per square metre (Wb/m 2 ) and the unit in the CGS system is G (gauss)

Magnetic flux density is defined as the amount of magnetic flux in an area taken perpendicular to the magnetic flux's direction. An example of magnetic flux density is a measurement taken in teslas.
