Ok, i can give you various examples to illustrate how ranks jump from General category to SC category for SC candidates in case of JEE Advanced only.

A rank around 3k (Gen. Category) will fetch you streams like Aerospace,Chemical,Civil,Biotech etc in the Top IITs but if thst candidate was of SC category, that will fetch you IITB Electrical, IITKGP CS, IITD MNC, IITM CS,IITK CS etc
A rank of 21k in CRL is nothing to worry about when you are an SC candidate, you can comfortably get IITB Civil with a category rank at around 600 something, which closes at 2.2k for gen. People
A 17k in CRL will get you IIT KGP Chemical if you are an SC candidate which closes at about 3.7k for general.
