What is marking scherm of wbjee entrance exam

Hi,the exam is  conducted in 2 phases in single day paper 1 mathematics and paper 2 physics and chemistry both for 2 hours.There will be 75 mcqs from mathematics and 80 mcqs from physics and chemistry combined.There will be 3 categories of questions namely category 1,2and 3. In paper 1 category 1 consists of 50 questions of 1 marks each with negative of 0.25 for every wrong answer and 0 for not attempting and 0.25 for marking more than one option. Category 2 will consist 15 questions of 2marks each and 0.25 negative for wrong answer. Category 3 will consist of 10 questions with 2 marks for each and there will be more than one correct option. One correct and one wrong will fetch 1mark and no negative marking. In physics and chemistry 30 questions from category1 and 5 from both category 2and 3. Marking scheme same as paper1. Both papers are of 100 marks.

The state level exam is conducted in the offline mode where candidates are required to appear for two papers in WBJEE 2019. PaperI- Math, PaperII- Physics+ chemistry. Those candidates who are appearing in both Paper I and Paper II are eligible for admissions in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy programs in all Institutes. For those appearing in Paper II only, they are eligible for admission only in Pharmacy courses (except in Jadavpur University). For more information about the exam, you can check out the link below.
