Deemed-to-be-university is an autonomy provided to the high performing institutes by UGC (University Grants Comission) for it's high quality and standard in areas related to education and research, infrastructure, placements etc. A deemed university has the independence to design its own course and fees structure.

According to the Ministry of Human Resource Developmemt (MHRD),

"An Institution of Higher Education, other than universities, working at a very high standard in specific area of study, can be declared by the Central Government on the advice of the UGC as an Institution "Deemed-to-be-university'. Institutions that are 'deemed-to-be-university' enjoy the academic status and privileges of a university.

Hiiii dear!!!!! Deemed to be university or deemed uniUnivers is the status of the university. A university get this status from the higher education board of India. This status increases the rank of that particular university to a higher level and therefore of more value.
