Hello Rohith,

Dual degree means you will be getting your two degrees (B.Tech an M. Tech) separately, which means you will get a  B. Tech Degree after  4 year course and then a M. Tech Degree after 2 year course.

Integrated means combined, joined or cohesive. So an integrated MTECH. course means a 4year BTECH. joined with 2year MTECH. which can be done in a span of 5 years. An integrated MBA means 4 year BTECH. joined with 2year MTECH. which can be done in 5 years. In integrated course you get both bachelor and master degree combined after 5 years.

good luck!

Hello

Dual degree means you will be getting your two degrees (B.Tech an M. Tech)
separately, which means you will get a B. Tech Degree after 4 year course and then a M. Tech Degree after 2 year course. The advantage of dual degree is the fees of M Tech will be same when you started your B Tech.

Here is the list of some dual degree colleges in India:

  • MIT World Peace university , Pune
  • Manipal Institute of Technology
  • Lovely Professional University , Phagwara
  • IIT Madras
  • IIT Bombay
  • IIT Delhi
  • NIT, Rourkela and many more

Hope it helps.

Dual degree is awarding both B tech as well as M tech degree to the student and rather than total 6 years it comprises of 5 years only where the first 3 years are common with B tech students but last two years are more oriented towards research work, many IITs offers Dual degree, I would recommend you to go for B tech only as your first  choice unless you are 100 % sure about your interest.

Hello,

Dual degree basically allows one student to complete to courses in short period of time. Say; you enroll for one course in Btech (electrical engineering) and  Mtech (IT),  so as per the dual degree process you will get both the graduation that is a degree in Btech (electrical) and a post graduate degree Mtech (IT) as well (so you completed two courses at a time). It is different from Integrated program because it doesn't allow you to enroll for two other courses at a time rather it helps you to complete full course without taking any break or appearing for any Entrance exam.

Dear Aspirant,

Btech is a four year course at graduation level and Mtech is a two year course in engineering at postgraduate level. Both of these courses are related to engineering. However, some colleges offers a dual degree programme with both Btech + Mtech, duration of 5 Years.

This is the dual degree you are talking about. Hope this helps.

Thank you.
