what is meant by 'General merit private' (GMP) category in karnataka PGET 2020 i did my mbbs abroad,non local for karnataka pget,can i apply both for open category (OPN ) & GMP category or only for OPN category ?

You asked for the meaning of General Merit Private or gmp catagory in karnataka pget 2020.
Look, in colleges, one half of the 42% quota is reserved for general merit private (GMP) including for Hyderabad - karnataka r eservation, which covers students from karnataka . The remaining half are the open category seats which are to be filled based on the NEET PG all-India merit and only citizens of India are eligible for it.
