Hii aspirants

let me clear your doubt.

A redox reaction is a type of chemical reaction which involves transfer of electrons between two species. It is also known as oxidation -reduction reaction.. An oxidation-reduction reaction is any chemical reaction in which the oxidation number of a molecule, atom, or ion changes by gaining or losing an electron.

for eg when carbon monoxide is passed over heated ferric oxide, carbon monoxide gains oxygen to form carbon dioxide.

I hope my answer will be helpful for you

Good luck
