If you have interest in mechanical and Electronic as combination go for mechatronics.

If you have interest in understanding pure science of liquid, solid and gas mechanics, go for mechanical engineering.

Both are equally good.

In India, mechanical engineering has higher scope

Dear Rubesh,

Both the branches have good scope in the future.

Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of science that includes a combination of mechanical engineering, electronics and computer engineering.

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest branch.

You can choose any branch based on your interest and skills but make sure you choose top colleges to get good teaching and placements.

Good Luck!!
