what is metallurgical and materials engineering?
Hi Rohith!
The main objective of Metallurgy and Material Engineering is to study any kind of material, their composition, advantages, disadvantages, their applications, etc,. It comprises the physical metallurgy, mechanical behaviour like it's fracture point and more.
Material Engineer will study more about the specific material and change its composition of needed to make it more durable or suitable for the specific application.
This course can be done as a Diploma Course, Undergraduate Course or Post Graduate Course.
Metallurgical Engineers have scope in industries which manufacture machineries, automobiles, etc,. They also use latest scientific technology like X-Rays, Lasers and other Non-Destructive methods to know more about the materials.
All the very best!
Metallurgical and materials engineering deals with the study of minerals. In this branch the processing and transformation of minerals is involved, it involves the physical metallurgy, kinetics, mechanical behaviour of metals. The extraction of metals from recycled material, minerals and other places is being taught in the course.
The minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in the sale is that the candidate must have past ten plus tu from a recognised board where Biology mathematics and Chemistry are the main subjects, some of the colleges also require JEE main marks, while some take their own entrance test.
