The cut off marks differ from branch to branch. Suppose let's take cse to get into CSE at VIT-Vellore in category 1, you should get around 95-100 marks out off 125. Since the competition is increasing the marks may also increase.

VIT Vellore has couple of more branches of CSE , one with specialisation in bio-informatic and other with specialisation in information securities. To get into that, score of around 85-90 would be fine.

To secure admission in any of your desired branch be thorough with your fundamentals and basic concepts and formulas before going to give VITEEE . You would surely score a good mark and hence a good rank.

First, you need to be specific about which branch you want to choose.

You need to write VITEEE (Entrance Examination conducted by VIT for a total of 120 marks). The Cutoff marks for different branches aren’t disclosed. The rank cutoff to get

CSE Vellore- 4k

IT Vellore - 9k

ECE Vellore - 11k

Apart from regular B.Tech degrees there are Integrated Degrees available in VIT. They consider your Intermediate or Plus Two Board Marks(Only MPC). Now it has become more competitive too.

For Vellore campus, to get 1st category seat, you must have atleast 96.5%. To get atleast a 3rd category seat you must have 94%.

All the seats of a branch are divided into categories. The Fees varies for each category. Roughly it is

Category 1: around 2 lakhs

Category 2: around 3.1 lakhs

Category 3: around 4 lakhs

Category 4: around 4.8 lakhs

You need to get 85+ marks to be on the safe side. If you get marks of this sort, you'll be definitely getting CSE at VIT Vellore- that is a guarantee. Cause then your rank will be under 5k and all students with ranks under 5k can opt for any branch they wish for- from CSE to Civil.
