This also depends on the placements of your college , like in which college you study and how many companies visit your college for Placements. So Choosing a good college plans a very vital role .

Sometimes it also depends on what kind of job you want to take . This is something you will understand while you are studying, what subject you like and where you want to see yourself .

see the package for IT engineer depends on whih organization you may work for. if you work in small start up compaies, you may get 12-15, 000 per month. the mncs like tcs, wipro,  cognizant offers 3.5-4 lpa in off campus placement. however in nits or iits, the placement packages offers ranges from 5-10lpa.

The minimum package depends upon the college and even there are cases that a student may not get a job therefore there is no any strict rule for minimum package even if a student is not able to get a job will work for a less amount so it definitely depends upon college in general colleges such as IIT have a minimum package of around 5 or 6 lakh but if you go to private colleges then minimum package can be as low as 100000.
