Mop-up rounds are for the vacant seats that have been left out. Some times what happens is, even after 2 to 3 counselings, some seats will be left out due to various reasons and to fill those seat's mop- up rounds are conducted. In simple it's like another counseling but in which the seats that are vacant due to non-allotted, non joining and non reporting of round 2 will be published on the website and if you are eligible you have to submit fresh choices and the final result will be done on the basis of choice and merit. Students registering for the first time, candidates who already registered but did not get a seat in round 1 and round 2 and all candidates except who hold a seat from round 1 or round 2 are eligible for mop up round.
